Valdez. glaciers, water falls, eagles, bears, salmon

We have been in Valdez for a little over 24 hours.  Yesterday, they had a heat wave...it was a sunny 70 degrees.  Today it has been a rainy 50s degrees. We have viewed several glaciers and water falls and today we drove over to the fish hatchery and got to see bears, fish and eagles.
This is a bear we saw feeding on salmon who came up stream to spawn...the tide is out and the water level is low, so the bear doesn't have to work very hard to get salmon.

Here is the fish hatchery area.  The water was teaming with salmon heading up stream.  The hatchery catches some of the salmon to collect the eggs.  There is a dam on this stream so the salmon can't go very far up stream to lay their eggs.
This in one of the two bald eagles we saw today.

Tomorrow, we take a boat trip out to hopefully see wales.
