House on the Rock

We had to make a trip to Dodgeville, WI to see the House on the Rock. The original house was built in the 40's and has been added on to ever since. It is a huge complex of rooms that are filled with some of the world's most unique and eclectic collections. We saw antiques, dolls, doll houses, pipe organs, animated and automated music machines, a fantastic collection of miniature circuses, oriental collections, weapons collections, suits of armor collections, a hugh carousel, and the list goes on and on. If you are passing through Wicsonsin, this is a must see. The picture above is of the Infinity Room. This "room" projects out over the valley 218 feet and contains 3,264 windows. Check out this on the web at www.thehouseontherock.com. Enjoy a few of the pictures I took that day. (199)

Ed is checking out one of the many music machines that work. We are given tokens to use to get them to play for us. Really cool.

This is suppose to be the World's Largest Carousel. It has over 20,000 lights and 269 animals (none are horses). It is 80 feet wide, 35 feet high and it weighs 36 tons.

Aunt Louise, age 90

Aunt Louise turned 90 in February 2009. Since I do NOT go back to Ohio in the winter, I could not make her 90th birthday party...so I told here I would take her out to dinner to celebrate when we visited in July. Here we are...my brother Richard, Aunt Louise and me...Sandy.

Just hangin' out

We spent some time in Van Wert visiting relatives. Here Ed, Bev and Karen are just relaxing after BBQ supper.

Cody the hunter

Cody is all terrier. Yorkies were bred to chase and kill rats. I think he would make a good one. He has this toy that he chases and shakes. We have fun playing chase and retrieve the ball and "bunny ball" that he is carrying in this picture. He is a lot of fun....keeps us laughing with his antics.

Meet Cody

Meet Q T Cody...the new addition to our household. Yep, we got another Yorkie. Cody was born 2/25/09 and he is about 5 pounds right now. He will probably we a large Yorkie getting to 8-10 pounds when he is grown. Now the training process begins. I think when I get back to North Ranch I will put us both through obedience classes. He has learned to play fetch already. Lots of fun to play with. He had never walked on a leash, but it didn't take him long to catch on and walks really well...just behind me. Life is Good
