Deception Pass

Monday we made the trip by ferry to Widbey Island to visit friends. There is only 2 ways to get on this island just north of Seattle. One way is to drive north of Seattle on I-5 and then west on SR20 across a bridge to Anacortes, then south across the bridge of Deception Pass to Whidbey Island. The other way to get on the Island is to take the car/passanger ferry from Port Townsend, WA to the middle of the island, near Fort Casey. We chose the 30 min. ride on the ferry...the other way would have taken a couple of hours by car. The island is pretty, but I don't think I would want to live there...only 2 ways on and off the island!!!
