Great View

We spent the last several days at a SKP Ch 9 rally in Roseburg, OR. Great Rally...lots of fun. There were about 30 people at the rally. We stayed at the Twin Rivers Vacation Park a few miles outside of town. The RV park sits along the Umpqua River. This is one of the views we had from our RV site. A very large nesting box has been built several feet above the power lines. The Osprey like to build their nests close to water and as high as they can get. They use the same nest year after year. We noticed smaller birds also use the edges of this nest for their own nests....kind of like a condo for birds. The Osprey feed entirely on fish so the little birds are not in danger of becoming food for them. This bird looks a lot like the Bald Eagle, only smaller in size...21" to 24" high. We move on today. We are now back at the SKP Co-Op in Sutherlin, OR where we will spend the next week. Good place to spend the 4th of July since most of the RV parks will be full.
