Bridges of Madison County

We spent several hours driving the gravel back road of Madison County, Iowa.  In the 1870's-1880's 100+ covered bridges were built in Madison County.  In the past 100 plus years almost all have been destroyed or demolished.  Only 6 remain and 1 of those was torched in 2002 and rebuilt in 2004.  Here is a link to information about the remaining bridges and enjoy the pictures I took.
