Mitchell, SD

We traveled 1400 miles to South Dakota to get Ed's drivers license renewed. Hope we don't have to go back here for another 5 years. The only claim to fame for this area is the Corn Palace. This building's exterior is decorated with corn and other grain products. Every fall the outside of the building is changed and new corn and grain design is created. All the corn and grain are grown in this area. We are now hanging out in Beresford, SD. We were going to head further south to Omaha, NE, but there are storms in that area worse than where we are, so we decided to stay put for a few more days before heading south. We are due in Sedalia, Mo on the 20th of this month, so we will have to head that way within the next week. We will be working at the Escapee's 2009 Escapade again this year. Life is good on the road. Will post pictures again when I have something interesting to take pictures of! LOL

On the road again

Well, we are finally on the road again for the summer. We left North Ranch a couple of weeks ago and I am finally posting a couple of pictures. We went to The SKP Co-Op at Benson, AZ and spent a little time with friends. I took a picture of this beautiful ocotillo plant. I have a couple of very small ones that I hope get this big some day. This plant looks like a dead stick sometimes, but come spring, the leaves come out and it gets these beautiful blooms at the top.
