Shipshewana

We visited the Amish community of Shipshewana yesterday. We spent some time roaming the Shipshewana Flea Market, which looks like Quartzsite Flea Market. Then we went to the Yoder's General/Hardware/Grocery Store. We spent most of the day there and were really tired by the time we got home. Life is good!

Escapee VCR Rally

We just completed the 1st Escapee VCR (V0lunteer Club Rep) Rally in Warsaw, IN.. We had a great time...lots of fun...food...friends! We had a great camping spot overlooking Winono Lake. The rally ended yesterday and we decided to stay another week. We don't go into the Escapee Fall Escapade until Sept. 4th and this place in on concrete with a great view. With the rain we have had in the area this past week concrete is a good thing!! Tomorrow we plan on going to the Amish community, Shipshewana tomorrow. They have a great flea market and Amich museum that we want to see. There is lots to see in this area...maybe I will get a little geocaching in too. Life is good!

What have we been doing this past month!

Well...inquiring minds want to know what we have been doing since the middle of July. We have been sitting at the RV park in the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. Ed has been enjoying himself with visiting with the various SKP's who have been coming and going...playing golf and just enjoying sitting around. I have been busy with genealogy. I made trips to 3 different cemeteries to take pictures of ancestors grave markers...Found information I didn't have! Yea. I also made a trip to the Allen County Public Library's genealogy depart where I found more information about my ancestor's. We also made 3 trips to Dayton to visit with daughter, Michele. We have enjoyed potlucks and bar-b-ques with friends and relatives and eating out several times a week. Life has been good!! Tomorrow we say goodbye to Van Wert and break camp to move on to Warsaw, IN for an Escapee VCR reunion. That should be fun.
