SKP ELK's BOF Rally in Quartzsite

Bob Lankford of BL Digital Photography took this aerial photo of our ELK's BOF rally on Plomosa Rd...north fo Quartzsite. We have had a good time even though it has been windy and cold most of the time. Some of the 50 rigs here were out of the photo at the bottom and to the left. The rally ends tomorrow, but we will probably stay here in this area for a few more days before heading back to North Ranch for the month of February. Time to stop boondocking and hookup back up to electricity, water and sewer! Can't wait to take a nice long shower instead of those very short ones! 

God's Beauty

I just love the sunsets here in the desert. We are still west of Quartzsite on Dome Rock Road. We will be here another few days before heading to Parker, AZ...along the Colorado River. Life is Good! 

Love those campfires

Three trailers in our group left today...we have four motorhomes left. Tonight the winds died down and we had a great campfire. Here is Ed sitting by the fire before everyone else gathered around. Tomorrow the weather is suppose to get warmer...into the 70's and less wind. That's more like it!! Life is Good! 

ATV road to Dome Rock

Nancy and I wanted to hike to the top of Dome Rock. We took the Rhino as far up the hill as we could, then went on foot. We didn't make it to the top! But we had fun trying!

End of the trail

We wanted to go all the way to the top of Dome Rock, but that is Nancy back there. The trail ended and all we found was loose shale...not good to hike on when the side of the mountain is so steep. Oh Well! 

The Rhino at Quartzsite

We took the ATV to Quartzsite. Nancy and I had a ball today taking it up Dome Rock as far as we could take it before we hiked on up the trail with wonder dog Duke.
