Ed and Angie at the beach near Lompoc, CA Posted by Hello

If you look close behind the sticks, you will see an endangered bird, the Western Snowy Plover. We were close to her nest so she was trying to get us to follow her away from her nest. This bird is about the size of a sparrow. Posted by Hello

Yuma, AZ

Hi. We have been here at Yuma Lakes RV Resort since 3/28/05. We have been lazy and have not done a lot. The weather has been very warm, today it is 87 outside. The snowbirds have pretty much left the area and a lot of the area activities have closed for the summer. We have been told that it can get as hot as 116 here in the summer. Today I went out and took pictures of the area around the RV park. They grow a lot of rice here. It is an interesting process. The fields have berms around them and they flood the fields with water and when it soaks in they plant the field, then flood the field again and again until it is ready to harvest the rice. There are a lot of swallows here too. It is fun watching them swoop and dive as they fly. Some days they fill the sky and line-up on the power lines. We will be here until Sunday 4/10 when we will hit the road and head north to Port Hueneme for a couple of weeks to take care of business in that area. Life is lazy right now!! lol Hugs, Sandy & Ed
