Spring Escapade

Hi. We are here in Imperial, Ca at the SKP Spring Escapade. We came in last Wednesday 3/16 since we volunteered for a staff position. We are working this week as sound systems asst's. Some work but mostly play. We helped set up all the sound equipment in 5 seminar rooms and the main hall. Then this week we just need to sit in a seminar each day and monitor the sound equipment. On Thursday afternoon we then need to break down all the equipment and pack it away. Gives us lots of time to socialize. On Friday we take the training and will become VCR's (Volunteer Club Reps). With this new position, we will be representing the SKP club at different club rallies as we travel around the USA. Chance to meet lots of new people. Hugs, Sandy & Ed

We are here in Visalia, CA. The nectarine's are in bloom. Orchard's everywhere...all different fruits and nuts. We will be here for another few days, then we head south. 

Poppies in Lancaster, CA

Hi. We are still here in Lancaster. Today we visited the California Poppy Reserve outside of Lancaster. WOW, poppies cover the hillside for miles. People flock to this area to take pictures and lounge in the poppies. Many bring their lunch and have a picnic sitting in the poppies. It is quite a site to see. We will be leaving this area Monday or Tuesday to visit with our friends Steve and Nancy in Visalia. Hugs, Sandy & Ed

Here Max is praying to the heater god. A few nights after we got this heater (we turn it off at night), I heard Max yipping out in the living room about 3:00am. I got up to see what he was doing and discovered him sitting like this, yipping...trying to get the heater to turn on.
